What a fine batch of new chicks. We have a lot of colors this time. Supposedly Barred Rock and Cuckoo Maran roosters were the dads. Some Easter egger colored eggs though.

A new batch of chickens arrived at the farm via a bag of eggs given to us from our neighbor. We threw them in the incubator and have eight new chicks.

It took a few weeks but the barn construction is finished. Now we need to get a load of hay.

The new pole barn construction has begun. This will be needed for the eventual goat herd (or at least to store their hay).

Unfortunately it looks Pancake is just a late bloomer. HE now is identifying as a rooster. We now have three roosters and NO hens. I predict issues in the future.
