Food Production

Several of the plants have started to show fruits.

The plants are starting to bear fruit. So small now, but we're hopeful.

We planted a few raspberry plants. Should get a good crop next on all the growth we saw this spring.

We had two patches of blackberries growing on the farm and they are producing fruit. Pruning the plants is a big "pain" though.

We started a longer term project and planted some fruit trees. Apples and peaches.

Another crop for the straw bales is cucumbers. This variety is primarily for pickles.

We love watermelon in the summer. This is another new crop to try growing in straw bales.

Decided to try to grow pumpkins. At the very least the goats will enjoy any we end up growing. These are planted in straw bales.

We planted a couple fig trees. There was some good growth this spring.

After a slow start, we finally moved some blueberry bushes into a more permanent location. We used a raised bed setup for the fabric bags the plants are in.
